After a 20 minute flight over picturesque vistas of northern Belize’s reef, coastline and lowlands, you will start one of the most interesting tours in the Orange Walk District of Belize. A short drive from the Tower Hill Airstip landing brings you to Lamanai Landings, where you board a riverboat and head up the New River. While traversing the many little creeks and lagoons, it is easy to encounter hawks, kites and falcons. Dainty jacanas (also known as Jesus birds or lily trotters) lightly walk on the lily pads while the crocodiles bask in the morning sunlight.

At the entrance to the New River Lagoon, the ruins of Lamanai (Maya for Submerged Crocodile) rise into view. Wile touring this site, huge masks depicting dead rulers and gods seem to materialize out of the rainforest, amid the chatter of birdlife and the haunting call of the howler monkeys. Your guide will point out the Copal and Ramon trees, which were of great importance in ancient times.

Return to Lamanai Landings and select your lunch from a range of buffet items at the Smoky Mermaid II, situated on the banks of the New River. After lunch you return to Tower Hill Airstrip and board your return flight to San Pedro, Ambergris Caye.

No minimum required.

Includes transportation, guide, fees, lunch, beverage.

Then board a bus taking you to the Mayan pyramids of Altun Ha. Altun Ha was the first Mayan site to be discovered in Belize, and on this tour, you will get to see first hand the gorgeous landscaping, genius ancient architecture, and Belize’s famous and ornately carved Jade Head of Kinich Ahau, the Mayan Sun God.

Then trek to Guanacaste National Park, a fifty-acre parcel of tropical forest located on the north side of the Western Highway, just east of the Roaring Creek bridge.

The Park derives its name from the giant guanacaste or tubroos tree growing near the southwestern edge. This colossal old tree can reach a total height of over 130 feet, 30 to 40 feet of which is straight trunk that may have a diameter in excess of six feet. Rich in nutrition, they shelter a large population of epiphytes, or airplants, among its branches, including several species of orchids, bromeliads, ferns and cacti. And to view it in person is overwhelming.

*Includes: Round trip by boat, full guided tour, entrance fees, tax, and lunch. Departs at 7:00am and returns at 5:30pm. Additional US $25.00 per person for travel by plane.

During the months of April through November, bone fishing is at its peak. But that’s not to say every other time of the year isn’t a good time in Belize, compared to anywhere else in the world. Belizean bonefish average three pounds, and six to eight pounders are not rare.

Our guides will take you for a half or full day of touring the best spots around Ambergris Caye, an island rooted in fishing. And, you do not have to be an expert. Fishing in Belize with our guides is perfect for beginners and professionals alike.

Maximum 2 persons. Four hours for half day; 8 hours for full day.

Includes: fishing gear, water, and soft drinks.

On the second part of this tour, you get to feel like the king or queen of the jungle by sliding yourself through the rainforest hooked up with cables. Soar from 50 to 90 feet in the air as you slide 65 to 70 ft distances from one platform to the other. In this lush jungle setting, home to over 500 species of birds, you’ll experience a rush comparable to that of the grandest amusement park rides. But, you’re in the heart of mother nature.

Guided by a professional and experienced team, you’ll be zipping through the air, high in the jungle canopy, ending with an awesome 80 foot rappel back to the rain forest floor.

After scenic boat cruise through the Caribbean from San Pedro to the mainland, you will kayak through class two, three, and four rapids with cascading falls and breath-taking scenery on the tropical rivers of Belize. Parrots, parakeets, flycatchers, cormorants, herons, ducks, iguanas and kingfishers are some of the river life you are sure to encounter along the way – not to mention a vast array of bromeliads (air plants), orchids, epiphytic cactuses and more.

After kayaking through the fresh water river, you will return to the lodge, enjoy lunch, and then head towards the Mayan world of St. Ignacio in the Cayo District of Belize. There you will explore the Maya ruin Cahal Pech. Cahal Pech, meaning “place of ticks”, rests high near the banks of the Macal River and is a collection of 34 structures, with the tallest being about 25 meters in height.

The site was a palacial home for an elite Maya family, and though most major construction dates to the Classic period, evidence of continuous habitation has been dated to as far back as 900 BC during the Early Middle Formative period (Early Middle Preclassic), making Cahal Pech one of the oldest recognizably Maya sites in Western Belize, and also one of the most interesting to explore.

*Includes: Round trip by boat, full guided tour, entrance fees, tax, and lunch. Departs at 7:00am and returns at 5:30pm. Additional US $25.00 per person for travel by plane.

Minimum of 2 people to confirm.

Ambergris Caye is second to nowhere in the world when it comes to saltwater flats fishing. Not only is fish life abundant all throughout the Cayes of Belize, with the Barrier Reef and island coasts lined with mangrove, the scenery is, well, picture perfect. Fish for barracuda in spots just a foot or two deep, sand as white as it gets, and clear Caribbean water.

Ambergris Caye, an island that started as a fishing village, has long been known as a world-class destination for saltwater flats fishing, and with our guides, you will spend a half or full day exploring the best fishing spots up and down the Ambergris Caye coasts. Bonefish, permit, and tarpon are just a few of the targets for this ultimate angling experience.

And, when you hook your first bonefish, don’t be surprised at its power and strength. Their trickiness alone makes first time flat fishers lifetime addicts. Many fishermen dream of days like this, and plenty of catch is all but guaranteed.

And, you do not have to be an expert. Fishing in Belize with our guides is perfect for beginners and professionals alike.

Maximum 2 persons. Four hours for half day; 8 hours for full day.

Includes: fishing gear, water, and soft drinks.
